With Social Media, Kick Off Your Conservative Pants
When using social media -- especially for business purposes -- young people have a tendency to put their conservative pants on and act like robots. I don't understand this at all.
Just because you represent a business doesn't mean you have to be boring and lifeless. We're in a new age where consumers are smart enough to know that companies aren't faceless, but in fact they are run by real people with real personalities. Some of the most popular business Twitter/Facebook accounts are ones where people inject their personality, humor and interests into posts. Here's how you can too:
Shake it up.
It helps to think of social media like a party. When you show up to a party, are you going to stand in one spot and spout off about the outfit you're wearing, what you plan on doing for the next hour and expect people to come up to you begging to hear more? No. You're going to walk around, shake hands, introduce yourself to people, listen to strangers, jump in random conversations and actually be social. That's the key. You need to avoid treating social media as a one-way street, and you need to talk to people online like you would in real life. Relate to them, have conversations about things they want to talk about and actually care about the relationships you're building.

I must say two things about this little scuffle that took place between Jen, Evelyn, and the now famous Nia Crooks.
1) Jen just keep getting abused. I feel bad for her, I really do. Evelyn has been O so extra this season... I use to love her for her New York Attitude, but I'm over her this season. I'm waiting for someone to knock her ass out for being over the top.

I was unaware that people still used break up lines... I thought we were in a age of straight forwardness - but I can see how these lines can lighten the air of the bad/or good news depend on which side of the fence you are sitting on.

EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. — A New York man has been arrested for a second time on charges he broke into Sean "Diddy" Combs's East Hampton mansion, where he apparently ate food, drank liquor and slept in one of the rap mogul's bedrooms, according to an arrest report issued Friday.
Quamine Taylor, 30, of Queens, was arrested at the sprawling home, where Diddy has played host to Hamptons hotshots at annual summertime soirees, on April 1. He is being held in the Suffolk County Jail on trespassing and petit larceny charges. READ MORE....

DEA cracks down on distributors of synthetic marijuana, make first arrest in state
With an alarming rise in the use of synthetic marijuana, DEA agents have quietly made a significant arrest of aPalm Beach County man, the first in Florida ever federally charged with distributing the banned psychoactive substances.

The arrest signals a new concerted effort by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to combat synthetic marijuana which is marketed under various enticing names such as "K2," "Spice," "Mr. Nice Guy" and "Relaxinol" and freely available at gas stations, convenience stores and head shops across South Florida.
"I think it sends a message: We are going to aggressively prosecute people who are in violation of the controlled-substances act," said DEA spokesman Jeffrey Scott in Washington, D.C.

Eventually, the addition of “express lanes” to Interstate 95 in Broward County should speed up the daily commute. But first, get ready for the slowdown.
Effective Tuesday, construction work to install two toll-charging express lanes has prompted a temporary speed limit reduction, from 65 miles per hour to 55, in South Broward. At first, the lower speed limit will be in place between the Miami-Dade-Broward county line and just north of the Griffin Road exit.
A few months from now, however, on a date yet to be determined, the lower speed limit will also be applied to much of central Broward, as the construction work creeps north. At that point, all of I-95 from Sunrise Boulevard south will be capped at 55 mph.
“If they’re doing it for the construction, it makes sense,” said driver Agnes Rodriguez of Pembroke Pines, who usually cruises I-95 at 70 mph. But Rodriguez added she’d vehemently oppose any effort to keep the speed limit at 55 after the road work is complete, because purposefully slowing down traffic has its own problems.

The Working Woman
It’s hard being a single mother- business owner. To make it
all work sometimes seems impossible, there’s just not enough time in a day. Every
so often I feel guilty, not spending every second of the day with my
sweetheart, but I know the hard work will benefit us now and later.
I love the business calls when I’m at home with my daughter
in my ear screaming mom…mom and my business associate is on the phone
speechless… I laugh. What do you expect its 10:00PM on a Tuesday night. I’ve
never hid the fact that I have a daughter a young one at that. Depending on how
close I am to that business associate I’ll add that she’s demanding and I
deliver (laugh out loud)! But there’s one thing all my clients and business
associates can say…. I deliver. Bottom line! So here are some tips for the
business owner mom’s of today:
- 1) Prioritize your schedule
- 2) Set work hours (if you work overtime make up for the time lost with your love ones)
- 3) Learn how to handle your stress (yoga, hobbies, bubble baths… however) a stressful day at work can lead to a stressful night at home… so leave work at work and home at home.
- 4) Mani/Pedi much well you should, its so rewarding to be pampered for a few hours. Getting your hair, nails, and toes professionally done is a great relaxing getaway… with a plus, budget your finances to look your best. It brings out the best you.
- 5) Remember your business is very important so give it 100% give your family the other 100% and leave 50% for yourself. After all most business women are super so giving 250% is a walk in the park
